Men’s Tees – Controversial Designs

Sponsore Link
There is a current trend with controversial designs in the fashion industry with men’s tees. Tees with obscure, foul entertaining slurs are becoming very popular. These Tees are usually worn my rebellious teens who want to stand out from the crowd and are not afraid of causing a bit of a stir with what the tee says. Many of these controversial men’s tees are sexist, politically wrong, tongue in cheek and rather funny on many occasions.

Controversial men’s tees are becoming very popular due to many different reasons. Because of what is written on the tees, firstly gets people attention, they read it, and laugh and you are noticed. It is human nature to like attention, and attention is what these tees give. Many of these tees say things that many of us think, but do not say, in case we cause a stir. This is why they are even more controversial because you are not saying it; the tee is.

Many of these types of men’s tees are found online in a world where controversy is a part of life. Many well known brand names such as the Gorilla Company and BEEF began life as underground tees until this form of style become popular. For example the BEEF Company featuring frisky and humorous tees with designs borrowed from popular themes of the 1980’s; music, TV, politics, anything juicy and anything 80’s. This therefore shows that they have a clear target audience from the 80s, a time where old conformist barriers were broken and rebellious controversial entities existed.

The same can be seen from the Gorilla Company, which targets more of the teenage and young adults sector. This company in particular, has slurs and obscure language that is intended to cause disruption. One tee has an image of a stick man with no head with writing underneath the image saying “need head”. This is a highly sexually controversial tee as it give notations that the man wearing this tee is sexually active and demands that he needs notions associated with sex. Furthermore the tee is bright pink so stand out like a sore thumb. This is a very popular tee as it gives off strong connotations of the male ordering and wanting sexual associated themes, however is made in a comical way. By being comical and with the use of pictures these offensive slurs become less offensive and funnier. This is why they have become so popular in recent times as many people laugh at these tees and not get offended.

From this type of tee is it possible to see that controversial designs are becoming very popular in today’s society. With many people wanting to stand out from the crowd and getting noticed by wearing satire clothing the demand is increasing. Many of these clothes can be found online at very good rates because they are made aboard etc, whereas if you bought them from your high street they are often a lot more expensive

Drugs Used To Treat Tuberculosis

Sponsore Link
Rifampicin (Rimactane, Rifampin, Rifa)

It is an antibiotic which has revolutionized the treatment of tuberculosis in recent years. It kills the bacteria (bactericidal effect). It attacks the nucleus of the bacterial cell (causing disappearance of its ribosome). Bacterial resistance to rifampicin can be reduced by combining it with isoniazid or other drugs as described hereafter. It increases the activity of oxidizing enzymes of the liver and thus can reduce the effect of various drugs metabolized by these enzymes. The doses of such drugs should be increased to have an adequate effect. It is always included in short course chemotherapy of tuberculosis.

Adverse Effects: Its adverse effects are mild and include abdominal distress and cramps, aches in the muscles and joints, and cramps in the legs during the first few week of therapy. Liver damage (hepatitis) is a dose related adverse effect and is more likely to occur if the liver function is already impaired or when rifampicin is combined with isoniazid or other drugs which are toxic to the liver. Elevation of the liver enzyme (SGPT more than 100 units/ml) occurs in about 4% of the patients treated with rifampicin in combination with isoniazid, but jaundice is not observed commonly.

Other adverse effects include itching rash, allergic reaction with a flu-like syndrome, difficulty in breathing, bone pains, and rarely kidney damage. These are more common when a high dose (900 to 1200 mg) is used intermittently.

Rifampicin and its metabolite impart a reddish orange colour to the urine, faeces, saliva, sweat, and tears. However, this is of no consequence but you should know it lest you are alarmed!

Precautions

Food reduces absorption of rifampicin, therefore it should always be taken on empty stomach, early in the morning.

The doctor should be informed if yellow discolouration of eyes, nails, or skin occurs.

The liver function should be monitored in alcoholics and in patients with pre-existing liver disease.

The doctor should consulted if any adverse effects like itching, allergy, pain in the muscles occur.

If other drugs like digoxin. corticosteroids, oral anti-diabetics, quinidine, ketoconazole, dapsone, disopyramide, warfarin, and methadone are being taken, the doctor should be consulted for increasing their doses as rifampicin increases their metabolism.

Urine, stool, saliva, sweat, and tears may become reddish orange. Do not worry about this.

Women who are taking oral contraceptives (OCs) may become pregnant if rifampicin is also taken. This is because rifampicin increases inactivation of OCs so they become less effective! Therefore, they should use alternative contraceptive method!!
