Experience New Sights In Barcelona - The Parks And Font Mágica !

Sponsore Link
Barcelona is not really famous for his parks and gardens. If anything then Gaudí, Sagrada Familia, Las Ramblas etc. But especially here in Barcelona you can find lots of oases to chill out after a stressful tourist day. Lying on the grass, reading a book or just meeting with your friends or your family for having a tasty picnic - what's better? On the other hand, you can spend a very special evening on the Plaza Espanya . Make sure to get near by Barcelona accommodation (alojamiento Barcelona) quick.

The Laberint d'Horta is located in Passeig dels Castanyers, Metro Montbau. This park is the oldest park in the city and it is a feast for the eyes if you see all the different plants and animals and between them lots of sculptures so that you feel like in paradise. And the labyrinth promises a lot of fun. There´s free access on Wednesdays and Sundays. The rest of the week you just have to pay a small fee. Bicycles and dogs are unfortunately not allowed.

Then there is the winter garden within the Ciutadella Park (Passeig Pujadas, Metro Ciutadella Vila Olimpica). In a huge glass building, there is a café which is surrounded by exotic plants. It´ s an ideal place for having a break after a long walk in the city center. And a walk through the Ciutadella Park is especially on Sundays really lovely. Then you can see young and old people relaxing in the park. There is also a romantic lake where you can let a rowboat. Try it!

The most famous park in Barcelona is probably the Parc Güell (Calle Olot, Metro Lesseps). It is a garden complex with architectural elements situated on the hill of el Carmel in the Grácia district of Barcelona. It was designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí and built in the years 1900 to 1914. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Works of Antoni Gaudí".

Other famous parks are the Pedralbes Palace Park (Diagonal, 686, Metro Palau Reial), Barcelona University Gardens (Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 585, Metro University), Mossen Costa i Llobera Gardens (Carretera de Miramar, 1, Metro Parallel and Drassanes) and there are still more… Go on with the tour through the parks of Barcelona and get inspired by the diversity of green in the city Barcelona.

At night you get one of the most beautiful things in Barcelona, except going out for celebrate: the Magic Fountain on the Plaza Espanya. Almost every evening this show offers the audience a fantastic play of water, lights and music. Admire this magic fountain when it explodes into a spectacular display of different colours and music! The Montjüic Fountains or The Magic Fountain is a "must see" for any visit to Barcelona! Charles Buigas designed the Font Mágica in 1929 for the World Exhibition. It seemed that it would not be possible to build this complex within in a short time. But at least this project was realised by over 3000 workers.

Now in summer (May-September), there are performances from Thursday to Sunday, always from 8pm till midnight. In winter (October to April) you can enjoy on Fridays and Saturdays the wonderful ambience from 7pm till 9pm.The best way to reach Plaza Espanya is by Metro. Simply use the green line (L3) or the red line (L1).

For those Barcelona visitants who prefer to have a Barcelona apartment (apartamento Barcelona) directly in the city center, won´t have any problems to reach the Plaza Espanya. But there are also romantic Barcelona Hotel(hotel Barcelona) in this area around Plaza Espanya that can offer you a lot. Especially the Montjüic with its many museums and its beautiful parks are just around the corner. And, of course, you can watch the Magic Fountain without any problems every evening ...

Czech Traditional Food

Sponsore Link
Czech Traditional Food
The Czech Republic is a mix of Austrian and German traditions. Meat therefore has a crucial role in food, whereas vegetables are forgotten. The Czechs do not like cooking which is why they prefer a single meal a day; fatty and full of sauce! After a meal you will have one need: to let the wonderful food digest and to sleep! Fortunately, there is plenty of logement Prague, and there are of course, many hotel Prague line the streets. Czech culinary specialities are defiantly worth visiting Prague for! You will find some great examples of typical dishes at affordable pride.

Starters (předkrmy)
One of the most famous starters is the ham in Prague (pražská šunka). There is a variety of boiled ham stuffed in whipped cream. The Czechs are not great fans of vegetables but they do love salads, notably Šopský salá; a dish with tomatoes and cucumbers covered with warm cheese. And do not miss the játra na cibulce; goose liver with onions.

Soups (polévky)
The national soup (česká bramborová) is made from a base of carrots, mushrooms and potatoes. It is the typical dish you will find everywhere as the Czechs always appreciate a good soup. Cabbage soup with bacon (zelňačka) is also very popular and for the bravest, there’s gut soup (Drstková). Very interesting I must say!

Typicals Czechs dishes (česká národní jídla)
Generally, Czech food is all about meat (in any shape or form), served in abundance with an accompaniment. Let’s begin with the tradition, goulash. It is an integral part of Czech gastronomy although it has Hungarian origins. Goulash consists of meat (mainly beef), onions, peppers, paprika and potatoes. It is cheap and a particularly fatty dish which will delight big eaters.

Fried dishes are also popular. Almost all of the food here has its own “fried” version; whether it’s some warm cheese coated in breadcrumbs, meats coated in breadcrumbs (especially pork and chicken), fish coated in breadcrumbs and vegetables coated in breadcrumbs (mushrooms, cauliflowers etc.).

Beef is the favourite meat and therefore costs more than others. There are therefore lots of dishes to be savoured!! Amongst all of the beef dishes on offer, it is absolutely necessary to enjoy Svíčková na smetaně (roasted beef with cream, accompanied by blueberries) and the exotic Španělské ptáčky (beef mixed with bacon, eggs, onions and gherkins).
Although the meat rules in this country, fish has also been a part of Czech gastronomy for years but is generally inedible without having been fried. Carp however is very much appreciated and is generally eaten for Christmas, with grapes and walnuts.

The accompaniments
Side orders are generally not included in the price of your main meal. The 2 traditional accompaniments of Czech food are:
- knedlíky. This dish is composed of meat slices on a base of flour, egg, and bread. This dish is really fatty but it gets eaten with everything.
- bramborák. Pancakes of potatoes flavoured with marjoram.

Desserts (moučníky)
Czech desserts don’t really have a big place in the meal taking into consideration the enormous main courses. However, you can find some desserts inspired by neighbouring countries, such as Viennese cakes and crêpes filled with fresh fruit and with whipped cream.

If you decide to visit this city, don’t go to one of the many fast food restaurants (which have invaded the city since the fall of communism), and make sure to try something new! And to stay in the centre, there are several cheap offers of accommodation available (location appartement Prague) so make the most of it.

How to Find Laptop Temperature?

Sponsore Link
Laptop TemperatureLaptops are machines in everyday use. For your laptop to perform well, you must take care of the temperature at which it is made to work. To know about how to find laptop temperature, read on...

It’s needless to say that computers have become the essential components of our daily life. A computer is of use in almost every walk of life. Be it working or making online transactions, a computer is all one needs. With increase in the pace of life, mobility became the need of the day. To cope up with the fast paced life of today, man has to race from place to place in search of his needs. He has to be on his toes to be ahead of time and the increase in pace brought along mobility.

Today, mobility is also an integral part of a person's life. The blend of the advancement in technology and a way to cater to the 'mobile' needs is best seen in laptops! When such machines become one's dependency, the person realizes the need to maintain his machines in a working condition. The dependency on machines that man has been having has made him vigilant about taking good care of his machines. This idea applies to laptops too! And why will it not? After all a laptop is just another wonderful machine that many of us use, for a major part of everyday.

Laptop Temperature - A Major Concern
Slow performance, frequent reboots and other symptoms of decline in performance and speed can mean that your laptop is working at an abnormal temperature. The production of heat in the processor is the result of Joule effect, the process of transforming electric energy into heat. An excessive increase in the laptop temperature can damage the internal circuits and hamper the machine’s performance.

Heat can be the cause of sluggishness in the functioning of a laptop. In full-sized machines, a sufficient number of fans are provided. These fans help in the maintenance of an optimal temperature of the CPU. In case of laptops, the scenario is not the same. There is no space for the provision of fans, thus restricting the flow of air to the processor. Users are seldom careful about enabling ventilation for the laptop. Thus monitoring of a laptop temperature becomes a major concern. It is very important to measure, monitor and maintain temperature of a laptop. It’s your laptop and you have to be its caretaker.

How to Find Laptop Temperature?
Mostly, laptops have temperature sensors on the central processing unit and on the hard drive. To find the temperature of your laptop, you need to have an application that reports the laptop temperature, installed on to your machine. There are a number of free applications like 'MobileMeter', which are small and handy to use. They are often equipped with provisions for setting the thermal zone, keeping a log file to record the laptop temperatures and specify update timings. These provisions help you select the unit of measurement of the temperature as also keep a record while specifying the frequency with which you want the software to find your laptop temperature. These are software applications, which are easy to install and operate.

If you are really enthusiastic about building the apparatus for measuring your laptop temperature, you can go about building your own probe that can connect to the laptop and help you find its temperature. For this, you will need a temperature sensor and a probe. Connect the appropriate terminals of the probe to those of the sensor. Apply an insulation tape over the terminals. This apparatus can be plugged in to the USB port or the jack of your laptop and believe it or not, your temperature-measuring instrument is ready. This is the temperature-sensing probe that can be used to find your laptop temperature.

After having the needful to find the laptop temperature, it is important to use it as a monitor of the laptop temperature. You need to keep a watchful eye on what factors can lead to a rise in the laptop temperature. Be careful about the placement of the laptop, the things around it and the temperature of the room in which the laptop is housed. Do not let the laptop overheat.

If you are expecting a figure to answer the question about what is the safest maximum temperature a laptop can bear, there is no exact answer. It depends on the specifications of your laptop and the applications it runs at the given moment. For being alert of the undesirable rise in the laptop temperature, you need to understand your laptop. If you expect performance from your machine, you need to know it inside out.

Temporary Hearing Loss

Sponsore Link
Temporary hearing loss may be due to various reasons such as earwax accumulation, an exposure to loud sounds or ear infections. Read on to know more about temporary hearing loss, its causes and treatment.

Hearing ability is one of the important senses that the human being has. We can communicate with others, listen to songs and watch movies using this ability. However, some people lose this auditory ability due to certain reasons, which is known as hearing loss. Hearing loss may be temporary or permanent. Temporary hearing loss may result from ear infection, earwax build up or an exposure to loud sounds. Usually, temporary hearing loss is reversible after proper treatment.

Causes of Temporary Hearing Loss

There are various reasons for a temporary loss of hearing ability. Some of the common causes of temporary hearing loss are:

* An exposure to loud sounds is one of the most common causes of temporary hearing loss. It is also known as noise-induced hearing loss. Due to constant exposure to the loud sounds, the sensitive structures in the inner ear get damaged, which results in hearing loss. This type of hearing loss is accompanied by tinnitus, ringing of the ears. If the exposure is continuous and if left untreated, the hearing loss may be untreatable and permanent. If you are exposed to loud environment and you are not able to hear loud speech around 3 feet away, then you can assume that your ears are exposed to dangerous noise levels.
* If there is an ear blockage due to accumulation of earwax, then it can give rise to temporary hearing loss.
* Infections in the middle ear can also cause temporary hearing loss. There may be sudden tear or rupture in the eardrum, which may result in perforation. It may be accompanied by pain and bloody drainage out of the ear. This condition is known as otitis media with perforation.
* Temporary hearing loss may result from damage to the sensory structures (hair cells) of the inner ear, auditory nerve pathway or auditory nerve present in the brain. These sensory structures may get damaged by infections, drugs, skull injuries and tumors.
* Intake of otoxic medicines such as ibuprofen or aspirin for a long period can give rise to temporary hearing loss. This condition cures when you stop taking these drugs.
* Some autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, polyarteritis nodosa and rheumatoid arthritis are also responsible for temporary hearing loss.

How to Treat and Prevent Temporary Hearing Loss?

Temporary hearing loss can be easily treated and reversed. As exposure to loud sound is the main cause of temporary hearing loss, avoid the exposure to loud sounds as much as possible. If you are in the loud environment, protect your ears by wearing the earplugs or other auditory protective devices. Make friends, family and colleagues aware of the hazards of loud sounds. If temporary hearing loss is due to the accumulation of earwax, then you can get it removed from the doctor. The doctor removes the earwax using some solutions or a machine. Regular cleaning of the ears is necessary in order to prevent the accumulation of earwax.

If there is any kind of ear injury, you may have to undergo a surgery. It will help regain your hearing ability. If there are some ear infections, they can be treated with the anti-bacterial solutions and antibiotics. If temporary hearing loss is due to the autoimmune disorder, then it can be treated with corticosteroid under physician supervision. As soon as you are diagnosed for the temporary hearing loss, you should immediately consult the physician and get appropriate treatment in order to prevent further damage to the ears. For every reason of hearing loss, the doctor prescribes different treatments. Temporary hearing loss can also be treated by using a hearing aid.

Mind Your Manners, When You're A Tourist

Sponsore Link
When preparing to go on vacation, remember to pack your manners. No matter where you end up travelling, the locals are going to base a lot on your behaviour, including how they perceive your culture in general, on how you behave.

It seems as though many who travel abroad forget to be polite to those that host them when they are away from home. Some suggest that behavior on vacation is directly related to whether or not you've visited before. The thinking is that, once you've had a taste of the culture, surely you'll be more sensitive the next time? Others argue that, regardless of how many times you've come around, tourists remain a painful necessity to any economy.

While it's not limited to one demographic or culture, there are some tourists that are notoriously worse than others. However, no matter where you're from, you're getting a bad rap for one thing or another. So, how does the bad behavior break down? We've got a quick overview of who's notorious for what when they're on vacation.

A recent survey has given Brits the top nod for bad behavior when they're travelling abroad. They've been labeled as noisy, rude, badly dressed and terrible tippers. In addition, recent research by the popular online travel agent Expedia shows that Britons are thought to be untidy. Maybe that is a direct result of their sometimes haphazard dress. While not as obvious as it used to be, for some reason, people are still able to tell a Brit from anyone else. Things are looking up though; seven years ago, a survey similar in nature labeled Brits the worst tourists overall, while they now place fifth.

Other badly behaving tourists include those that call Germany their native land. Considered the absolute worst tippers, one might think that they are stingy. If you consider the tipping system they are accustomed to, it may shed a new light on things. In Germany, wait staff do not work on a small hourly wage plus tip system, they work on an hourly wage, period. So, when you go out to dinner in Germany, you don't tip. Maybe their bad tipping behavior is not stinginess as much as it is a lack of knowledge.

Living in America and think you've packed a fashionable wardrobe? Think again. Americans are notoriously the worst dressed tourists around. Many also find the Americans to be lacking in manners and obnoxiously loud, albeit not as bad as the Brits, Russian and Danes. Those from the U.S. do score points though for at least attempting to learn and speak the native language of the countries they are going to visit.

Attempting to take the bull by the horns, the Chinese government has taken the liberty of posting the "do's" and "don'ts" of travel etiquette in train stations, bus stops and hotels across Beijing. Although many of the Chinese are angered by what they feel is degrading treatment by their own government, the government is not budging. They are trying to curb the Chinese bad behaviour before the Olympics next year. They've even gone so far as to issue pamphlets and make travel agencies and their tour guides responsible for correcting the tourists' behavior. Talk about uncomfortable.

So, who gets kudos for being the overall best behaved on their summer vacation? The Japanese. Considered both polite and tidy, they seem to ruffle no one's feathers. In Reuters's 2007 study, they scored a full 35% higher than the Americans who came in second.

Remember, when on vacation, do like the Romans do... or like the Japanese do. Be courteous and keep in mind that you are representing your entire nation when you are out and about. Figure out local customs and, if you're really brave, learn a little bit of the language before you go. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how well your efforts are received.

Understanding The Astrologer Role

Sponsore Link
Astrologer Role
Many people believe that astrology horoscopes can help them navigate the way to their true destiny. If this is true, then astrologists are their tour guides. An astrologer is believed to be able to see the future by reading the stars and planets

Astrology is far more complicated than people realize. Using birth dates and times, astrologers consult the stars, planets, The Zodiac and houses to determine a course of action for their clients. They can also help an individual better understand their personality.

The person then has to choose whether or not to act on the reading. In the United States, certification is not required for an astrologer to offer his or her services, however, there are various examinations offered by private organizations such as the American Federation of Astrologers and the National Council for Geocosmic Research.

Astrology can have a significant impact on its believers. Even the rich and famous have been known to seek out astrology readings. Shirley Temple Black and Princess Diana spoke often about their beliefs.

President Ronald Reagan and Nancy Reagan have freely admitted to consulting astrologists while in the White House. A good reading can help an individual select the optimum time to start a business, get married, have a baby or change careers.

Choosing a seer to give you a reading may be like picking a star out of the sky. There are many different methods of divination, so it may come down to a matter of personality and what areas you are most interested in. There are financial, psychological, Jungian and Karmic astrologers, just to name a few.

Knowing what you're looking for is key to a good reading, just don't expect them to predict your future or the outcome of your decisions. They simply suggest the options an individual can pursue to find happiness. Clearly, it's best to know exactly what you want before seeking a reading.

Even those who don't believe that the stars have an impact on our everyday lives must admit that astrologers can be eerily accurate. However, it's important to remember that most do not claim to be able to predict your future. They are simply gathering information provided by the details of your birth to help you map out your life.

For example, if your love life is troubled, an astrologer can help you determine what particular qualities you should be looking for in a mate. Choosing to follow the advice is up you. Charting your own life may be as effective as charting the stars.

Comparing An Australia And New Zealand Master’s Degree Program

Sponsore Link
The solid academic reputation of universities in both Australia and New Zealand make them extremely desirable choices for pursuing postgraduate studies. Both nations boast globally recognized curriculum and degree programs. For students considering a master's degree, Australia and New Zealand are options well worth consideration, but there is some difference between the programs offered in each nation.

Given the equality of academic standards and programs between the two countries, it is recommended that students review the particulars of an Australia master's degree versus a New Zealand master's degree program to determine which best meets their academic goals, learning style and scheduling obligations.

Master's Degree - Australia Overview

To complete a master's degree, Australia universities require students to complete an average of 1.5 to 2 years of study. There are some exceptions, however. At some universities in Australia, master's degrees may be earned in as little as one year.

Students may select from two different routes of study to earn a master's degree. Australian universities offer master's by coursework and by research programs. A master's by coursework degree consists of 70-80% class work and 20-30% research. The research requirement involves completion of a minor thesis project during the latter portion of the degree program. An Australia master's degree by research, on the other hand, is entirely research driven. This intensive program requires self-directed research that results in the creation of a thesis or project under the guidance of a supervisory professor.

To apply for these degree programs, students must hold a bachelor's degree in a related field of study. Additionally, students applying for an Australia master's degree by research must have research experience or hold a bachelor's of honors degree.

Master's Degree - New Zealand Overview

To complete a master's degree, New Zealand universities require students to complete two years of study. Students that have accumulated significant research experience or who hold either a bachelor's degree of honors or postgraduate diploma may complete their master's degree in one year, however.

Typically, a New Zealand master's degree is consists of equal parts coursework and research. During the first year, students complete class work and related projects. While the structure of the first year differs little between universities, there may be some flexibility in the classes student select.

The second year of a New Zealand master's degree program, on the other hand, is research driven. Students are expected to complete a major project or thesis focusing upon their desired area of interest.

While universities in both nations offer exceptional academic programs, there is a difference between the requirements and curriculum of Australia and New Zealand master's degree programs. To find the best fit, it is recommended that students consider their learning styles and goals when evaluating the programs.

Landscape Photography: Inside The Mind Of The Photographer

Sponsore Link
Landscape photography can be both inspirational and rewarding - but good landscape photography is never easy. Even the best landscape photographers have their fair share of disappointments.

It is easy to be swept up with enthusiasm for a great location, especially on your first visit. I fall into the same trap myself. When arriving at a great landmark for the first time, I just can't wait to get a picture, and any picture will do. Once the initial excitement wears off I come back to reality, and try to find a way to create an image that is a little more exceptional than your average snapshot. Once I start thinking like a photographer, and not like a tourist, I can try to live up to the potential of the scene in front of me.

Here are a few of the steps you can go through to start seeing your subject with a photographer's eye.

Photography Tip #1. Think About The Light. You are probably aware of the principle that the best light for a landscape photo occurs early in the morning and late in the afternoon. This is true most of the time. Your first decision, on reaching your location, should be this: will the light for this subject be early or late in the day?

This depends on several things. If you are facing East and you want the sun shining on the subject, you should take your photos close to sunset, when the sun is shining from the West. On the other hand, if you want a silhouette, with the sun behind the subject, you should aim for sunrise. If you are able to camp overnight, you should try to do so. By being there both early and late in the day, you will often find opportunities you had not expected. For example, you may think your subject is best at sunset, only to find that the following sunrise presents unexpected benefits, like dew on the ground or even wildlife.

Photography Tip #2. Plan Your Composition. Whenever you visit a well-known landmark, you should remember that is has been photographed millions of times, by amateurs and professionals alike. Almost every photo you can take has already be done by somebody else. Even if your photo is not unique, you should at least find an angle that sets your photo apart from the majority of snapshots.

To do this, ask yourself this question: "What is there in the surroundings that I can use to make my photo better?" Perhaps you can photograph your subject framed through the branches of a tree. Perhaps after rain there will be a puddle that creates good reflections. There may be a shapely tree to one side to add interest to the composition, or wildflowers to add a touch of colour in the foreground. Anything that adds impact is worth considering.

Photography Tip #3. Eliminate Distractions. Follow this principle at all times: "Anything that does not make my photo better, makes it worse." Before you take your photo, look into every part of the frame and make sure there is nothing that will create a distraction to someone looking at your photo. Footprints and litter are two obvious examples that can spoil a natural setting. You may be thinking it is easy to remove them with software later on, but in truth it can take hours to do it really well. It is so much easier to get it right when you take the shot.

Photography Tip #4. Consider The Sky. A perfect clear sky can be lovely to look at, but add nothing to a photo. If your sky is plain and uninteresting, try to avoid letting it take over the photo. This can be a simple matter of angling the camera down to capture more foreground and less sky. If you have a chance to return when the sky is more interesting, take it.

When the sky does offer something special, make the most of it. Be aware that the sky produces shapes and patterns that can have a leading effect on the eye of your viewer. Try to use the shapes in the sky to add to the overall composition and enhance the impact of the main subject. It never hurts to try a polarizing filter to add a little extra contrast, making the clouds stand out even more.

Photography Tip #5. Be Patient. All the planning in the world can mean nothing without a little luck. Even if you do everything right, you can still end up with an unremarkable result. However, if you are patient enough, there will come a moment when the forces of nature combine to give you something really special. A good photographer is patient enough to wait for that moment, and quick enough to grab it when it arrives. I can't tell you what to look for; it could be a rainbow, sunbeams in the clouds, a bird flying by at just the right moment...trust me, you will know it when you see it.

Does that mean nature photography is all about luck? Of course not. You make your luck by having the skill to set up a shot, the patience to be there at the right moment, and the talent to recognize and capture it. Think of it as nature's reward for a job well done.

How To Structure Your Essay – 6 Easy Steps

Sponsore Link
Being new to writing essays you will be unfamiliar with the structure of an essay at university. You may have written a few different essays at college during your A-levels or equivalent if not in the UK, but these will be a little different to what is seen as minimal in academia. After all, you want to bet getting the best grades possible from the work that you submit, so if your essay or report is structured in the wrong way, then you may end up missing out on marks because your thoughts aren’t clear and your argument is a little fumbled. Below I will set out some steps that you can take when thinking about the actual structure of your paper and what you will need to submit an essay you can be proud of.

Step 1 – Get organised

In order to properly structure your essay you will need to organise your thoughts, your desk, and even the computer you are going to be typing on. Get rid of Itunes and all other unnecessary programs for the time being as you will need to get a few documents open and even a note pad and pen to make sure you are heading in the right directions and eliminating any mistakes ion the way.

Step2 – Be informed

Many people seem to think that they can look at a computer screen, type a few thousands words and hey presto you have an essay! Well, probably it would be an essay in an ideal world, but let me tell you that the world is far from ideal and in order to sound credible to anyone who is going to read your work, you need to be able to understand all of the material that you need to source, read and digest. If you haven’t got around to this stage yet, then feel free to go and learn about the subject you want to write, even if this is only an introduction.

Step 3 – What, How and Why?

You should also be thinking about when, where and who – these are termed as the seven honest serving men and will get you through your academic life. You are not just going to structure your essay around a topic and throw all the information you have learned about it on to paper and submit that as an essay. Your lecturer/professor will be looking for your critical evaluation and thought process and want you to be constantly asking, well why is that, or how is that, or why did that happen, etc. You can also structure your answers this way.

Establish what you are going to be talking about.

Explain to the reader how things have been established and also put ‘signposts’ connecting one concept to another.

Answer why certain things have happened or arguments have ensued – this is probably the biggest part of your ability to show an understanding of the essay topic.

Step 4 – Choose a direction

You will want to set out a map or guide to how you are going to write everything and what way you will link each part to the next. You will also need to think about having the essay flow and choose the direction you want your argument to take. All great essays have a firm base that is built upon and they lead to a finalised position. Make sure yours does too and don’t rely on not knowing where you are going to.

Step 5 – Write it and Write well

Actually getting down to the writing is a good start indeed, but structuring your writing to have a beginning, middle and end is the way to go. every part of your essay should have an introduction, a central body allowing the reader to see your argument, and then a conclusion of the particular section that links and leads onto the next.

Step 6 – Be Prepared

Preparation is one of the most important things to have when writing an essay or paper i the academic arena. You will want to have a plan of what you are wanting to write. Some students find it easier to map out their essay in preparation for actually writing their paper, getting themselves mentally prepared for the writing and thoughts ahead. Keep in mind that certain bits of information belong it certain parts of the paper, don’t leave your reader second guessing your argument or wondering what the argument of the paper was about.

Also, if you want to get the best out of your submitted essays then you should have a proofreader or editor take a look at your work.

Ten Best Beaches Of France

Sponsore Link
When I think of France I don't immediately think of beautiful beaches, I think of Paris. But I stand corrected because southern France has some of the most beautiful beaches on the world. There are actually a variety of beaches to please every kind of taste. France is surrounded by water, the English Channel, Atlantic Ocean, and the Mediterranean Sea.

The French Riviera is located on the eastern Mediterranean coast from Cannes to Menton. This is the holiday you want to take if you are looking for upscale adult vacationing. The Côte d'Azur is the coast to the south and is the ideal spot for "alone time" although it can get a little crowded in some spots. It is also a great spot for surfing. Brittany on the north Atlantic coast and the surrounding area has beaches with family attractions.

Cannes While the world famous film festival may keep tourists busy, there is no denying the beach here is fun. This is a laid back beach town, rich in the arts and film. Check out the sand castles while you are on the beach. If you hunt for bargains, this can be a reasonable beach vacation.

Beach at Nice
This beach is enormously popular on the French Riviera. The actual beach is comprised of pebbles instead of sand. It gets very crowded during the summer months.

Menton Beach
Menton is a quaint little beach town and of all the beaches on the French Riviera, Menton's beaches are the most family friendly. The atmosphere is much more relaxed and it isn't the wild partying beach town that its neighbors are.

Monaco
The beaches in Monaco are upscale and are adjacent to opulent high-rise hotels and casinos. This is an adult environment and there is plenty of fun to be had sun bathing during the day and gambling at night.

Arcachon Beaches
The small town of Arcachon sits next to the Atlantic Ocean. This beach area is free of crowds except at peak time of summer vacation. If you visit this beach you must walk along the Dune du Pyla, which lies between the ocean and the largest forest in France, Les Landes. This is huge dune elevated and overlooks the Atlantic.

Biarritz Beaches
While the Biarritz beachfront was once wildly popular, in the last forty or fifty years tourists have migrated to the French Riviera to empty their wallets. While these may not the most ideal beaches, they are less crowded, have less traffic, and have less expensive accommodations. Beaches are free to visit.

Groupe Beach - Cap d'Antibes
This is a very exclusive beach that is split off into sections some of which are free to the public. This beach faces the east so when you are on the beach the sun is not in your face. It is also sheltered from the wind and this makes it pleasant.

St. Jean de Luz St.
Jean de Luz beach is located just south of Biarritz in the town of St. Jean de Luz. This is a clean well-kept beach with a nice sea wall separating the beach from the town. The architecture of the town is carefully preserved and the old 17th and 18th century structures are just amazing. This is a quiet and peaceful beach experience.

Cap d'Agde
Located next to Montpellier, Cap d'Agde is famous for their nude beaches. However, the tendency to divest one's clothes may extend to the city as a whole. Maybe we should leave the kiddies at home.

La Rochelle
This is a quaint port town located on the Atlantic coast. The beach has shallow waters and is great for families with young children.

How To Choose Baby Travel Wipes?

Sponsore Link
Most baby skin is more sensitive than that of an adult. For some babies if they were exposed to irritants, they might produce severe reactions. Diaper rash is a common phenomenon among infants. You may think changing diapers more often may help. However, changing diapers more frequent may not be too helpful because the rash is caused by the substances composed in the diapers. That is why chemical materials included in baby travel wipes may be harmful to your baby.

A research done in Britain has shown that, chemical substances such as phenoxyethanol, methyl, butyl, and ethyl paraben are some typical toxic chemicals found in many popular baby wipes brand. For baby with sensitive skin, it is important for wipes products to stay away from chemicals such as propylene glycol, imidazolidinyl urea, polyethylene glycol (PEG), and Isopropyl myristate. Unfortunately, many baby wipes brands contain these chemical ingredients, or involved some substances derived from petroleum. These chemicals may be harmful, but their long term effects of applying them daily on human skin are not known yet. The most obvious instant effects of these chemical substances on baby sensitive skin are skin irritations.

To reduce the chances of getting these chemicals from using baby travel wipes, looking for organic baby wipes is a good suggestion. Organic baby wipes are free from all these chemicals which may be harmful and irritating to your baby sensitive skins. Organic baby wipes only contain natural or plant-based ingredients. These substances are usually less irritating to sensitive skin, and more mild. Thus, they are ideal for baby with sensitive skin. Essential oils extracted from lavender, mandarin are the major ingredients used by these organic baby travel wipes. Some may also use plant oils extracted from sesame, sunflower, aloe vera, and hemp as well. In comparison, these ingredients are less irritating than those artificial scented substances used by those non-organic brands.

Tips For Baby Proofing Your Home

Sponsore Link
Baby proofing your home is critical to prevent injuries to your baby and toddler and to keep the parents sane. We suggest approaching it by considering the threats that live at the level of your toddler or baby - which is below the parents knees. Start looking for things to secure and consider the following tips as you go:

• Fingers and Toes: Babies and toddlers push and pull on doors, and fingers get slammed between door and door jamb. Prevent this by installing child proof door locks.

• Safety Gates: These come in many different styles and function. Some are designed for the top of the stairs, some can be custom configured and some are made of soft material, while others use pressure mounted designs that won’t mar walls. Most of designed to fit standard doorways.

• Coffee tables: Buy round edged tables and avoid sharp edged 90 degree angles. Soft wood and not metal or glass. Simply remove glass and metal coffee tables and replace with soft furniture made of leather or fabric.

• Electrical outlets: Baby proofing electrical outlets are your main priority. Don’t wait for baby to start crawling, make it your first baby proofing duty while baby is not yet mobile. I prefer to use universal outlet covers that slide shut when the electrical appliance is removed. Remember to use power strip covers to guard against electrical shock from power strips that are usually under the office desk or around home appliances and electronics.

• Drowning threats: Secure your bathroom toilet lid cover with a lid lock. Use wireless outdoor/indoor monitors to monitor areas around you swimming pool or areas where large pools of water exist. It is a good idea to use baby walkers equipped with safety brakes if baby is mobile around swimming pools.

• Cupboard doors: Cupboards below the kitchen and bathroom sink usually store household chemicals. Move these to an area above the reach of baby and toddler, then use sliding door locks or magnetic locks to secure these doors.

• The not so obvious: At the level where kids crawl, live, dust, dirt and insects that can irritate lungs and skin. We use a robotic vacuum to clean areas where baby crawls, while the robot cleans we use this time to play with baby.

• Driveway: Toddlers have what experts call the “goodbye syndrome”, simply it is the urge to follow mom and dad out the door to say good bye, as small children it is important we have an alarm system to detect motion in the driveway.

Natural & Organic Baby Skin Care

Sponsore Link
Baby Skin - the baby’s largest organ is sensitive. When it emerges from the protective cocoon of the womb, baby skin needs to adapt to its new environment . Luckily, infant skin is highly adaptable, but is still susceptible to some common skin conditions. Some of these baby skin conditions include baby acne, cradle cap, heat rash and sunburn. These can be treated with basic regular baths complimented with natural, organic baby skin care products.

• Umbilical cord care: Baby’s umbilical cords usually falls off around the second or third week after birth and sometimes as early as the first week, so keep the area clean with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab whenever you change to avoid infection from soiled diapers.

• Newborn baby skin care should begin with the knowledge that your baby skin loses moisture quickly, so there is no need to give baby a daily bath. It’s best to give baths every other day to give sensitive skin time to retain adequate moisture.

• Baby acne shows up after a few weeks and continues for a couple of months or more. Since this is a normal condition and goes away soon it’s not necessary to treat these small bumps unless they become infected, just keep a close eye and maintain regular baby baths complemented by organic skin care treatments to keep baby skin from drying out.

• Cradle cap: Use a gentle strokes and a soft brush to clean the scalp and apply a natural moisturizer like Calendula Cream to help keep the scalp clear of cradle cap. Avoid talcum powder as it absorbs the moisture from the baby’s skin.

• Heat Rash: Baby’s new skin is learning to accommodate and live in its new surroundings. A cool bath and breathable fabric like organic Egyptian cotton clothing should help. Don’t overdress in hot weather as this can exacerbate the heat rash condition.

• Keep baby away from direct sunlight for short or prolonged periods, protect skin with appropriate clothing and use adequate shade on your baby gear, such as car seats and strollers. When placing baby in the car seat put a large toy in your lap to remind you that baby is in the back seat.

Can I Lay Ceramic Tile Over Existing Ceramic Tile

Sponsore Link
A common question when laying tile is, Can I lay ceramic tile over existing ceramic tile in my kitchen/bath. Well the answer to that question is yes and no. I don’t feel that it is the best way to install ceramic tile but it can be done. It all depends on the condition of the current tile floor.

So you will need to ask yourself, is my current tile flooring in good condition? Ceramic tile needs a good bond to the material underneath. If your current flooring is still adhering to the subflooring and there are no hollow sounds (lack of thinset underneath) then you could lay the new ceramic tile on top. You will want to make sure that the current floor is clean before proceeding. Use a scrub brush and cleaner to remove grease and dirt before attempting to lay the ceramic tile.

After cleaning the tile you will want to try to scuff up the existing tile and grout. This will help the new mortar adhere to the old tile. Adding tile onto the top of an existing floor will raise your floor level so you will probably need to trim the door jams. You can offset the raised floor at transition areas by purchase a new threshold plate.

If you decide to remove the current ceramic tile be very careful. The first tool that you will need to get is safety glasses. This will help prevent getting debris in your eyes. Removing the tile is going to be different depending on your subflooring. If you have a wood subflooring and the previous installed tile was placed on cement backerboard consider yourself lucky. I find this easier than removing tile installed on concrete. I do not try to save the backerboard, just start removing some tile with a wide, flat chisel and a hammer. Once you expose some of the backerboard try to pry this and the tile up together. I have found it easier to remove the backerboard and replace it with new material.

I hope this article helps solves that common question of “Can I lay ceramic tile over an existing tile floor”. Remember to take your time during the floor preparation.

Crystal Chandelier Maintenance: How To Preserve Its Beauty

Sponsore Link
A crystal chandelier is a fine addition to every home. Whether in the dining area, the entrance hall, or out in your front door -- this lighting fixture never fails to give your home a luxurious and elegant aura that everyone will surely love.

But as with any beautiful and elegant fixtures, it is very important that you handle them with care so that their quality will last for a longer period of time. We can never deny the fact that your crystal chandelier requires proper cleaning instructions to avoid denting its quality. Here are some tips that should help you maintain its overall luxurious and elegant look.

When you plan to give the crystal of your chandelier a little bit of cleaning, we are often tempted to put them in our dishwasher to minimize the effort. After all, there isn’t really much of a difference between the crystal-made drinking cups and the crystals on your chandelier.

But in truth, the crystals on your chandelier are quite delicate as compared to those used for drinking. In fact, using a dishwasher in cleaning out your crystal chandelier may cause it to fog and lose its sheen and brilliance.

It is advisable that you wash your crystals with warm running water and avoid using any detergents that are normally found in your kitchen. If you don’t have one handy that is specially made for crystal, then clean it up with a soft cloth in warm, running water and let them drip dry to reduce abrasions.

Tip # 2: Soft, Cotton Cloth Only

Abrasions and rough, solid objects are an enemy to crystal chandeliers. We all know that crystals can be easily abraded when it comes in contact with sharp objects. When cleaning out your crystals, only use soft, cotton cloth free from any abrasive materials. Check the cloth you plan to use and make sure that there are no minuscule solid objects found anywhere on it. A foggy crystal can be easily remedied, but a scratched crystal has no hope of redemption.

When cleaning your crystal chandelier, you need to keep in mind that crystals are very sensitive to both temperature and surface contact. The cleaning agents that you use will practically determine how your crystal will look after it has been applied with it. Always practice caution when cleaning out your chandelier and avoid rushing with this little project to avoid any mishaps.

Tips On Anti Aging Natural Skin Care Products

Sponsore Link
What if I told you that many of the anti aging natural skin care products available today are in fact made up mostly of synthetic waxes and fillers? For these products, their skin care claims made are based on a few natural active ingredients.

The ultimate test of a natural ingredient is if it is pure enough to eat. When you put products on your skin, the ingredients eventually find their way into your system. In effect, you are eating them.

In this article, we will discuss some of the widely used skin care ingredients, and describe the natural ingredients that provide the best anti aging skin care.

Parabens are widely used in the cosmetic and skin care industries as a preservative. This is because parabens are cheap. However, studies have shown that these preservatives are potential cancer causing agents.

Other chemicals used include anti bacterial agents. The problem with some of these chemicals is that they also kill beneficial skin bacteria, and are even classified as a pesticide!

Fragrances are another category of chemicals often found in anti aging natural skin care products. These chemicals can cause irritation for people with sensitive skin.

The Top Three Ways to Eliminate Interview Jitters

Sponsore Link
One of the most stressful experiences is going on a job interview. The key to reducing the stress - and therefore the jitters - is preparation. Here's how to prepare for that job interview in a way that will help you relax and perform better.

Everyone is nervous about going on a job interview, that's a given. After all, your future economic well being may depend on getting that job! To that, add the pressure of not knowing what to expect in the interview or what questions may be asked and you have all the ingredients for a world-class case of the jitters.

Here are three things you can do to prepare yourself, regardless of the job or company with which you are interviewing. As a hiring manager, time and time again I've seen candidates that come unprepared in these three areas and their interview failure rate is high. Concentrate on these three things and you will greatly increase your chance of a successful interview… and a job offer.

One: Know Yourself

Make sure you have thoroughly memorized everything in your resume, especially specific examples of your accomplishments.

I'm always amazed when I interview a candidate, ask them a specific question about their experience that could be answered right off their resume, and watch them fumble for an answer. Yes, I've read your resume, but I want you to pick out the parts of your resume that are applicable to the question and answer it in an articulate manner. You can't do this unless you are thoroughly familiar with the information in your resume.

The key here is practice. Look at the job posting for the job you will be interviewing for and note the specific requirements that are listed. Then, practice stating your experience and accomplishments in terms of how they relate to those requirements. Do this until you can comfortably and succinctly recap your experience and accomplishments, using each job requirement as a question.

For example, if one of the job requirements is "five years of sales experience", then your answer could be: "I have seven years of sales experience with XYZ company, during which sales increased 40% in my territory." Be prepared to give an answer like to for every requirement listed for that job and you will be ahead of 95% of the other applicants.

Two: Produce Your Commercial

You should prepare in advance a 30 – 60 second recap of your job experience and some key accomplishments from that experience.

Why? Because frequently an interview will begin with a question such as: "Tell us something about yourself", or some variation of that question. This is your chance to present your "commercial" about yourself. It should be a very condensed recap of your employment history and some of your major skills and accomplishments. NOTE: it should be all about your job experience and NOT about your personal life or hobbies. The hiring manager is only interested in one thing: do you have the experience and competency to be the best candidate for the job.

Here too, I've had many job applicants stumble with trying to give an overview of themselves and come across as awkward and inarticulate. You should write out your commercial in advance, make sure it includes your most significant experience and accomplishments, and then time yourself by reading it out loud. It should more than 30 seconds but no more than 60 seconds. This doesn't sound like much, but 60 seconds can be an eternity in a job interview!

You don't have to memorize your commercial, but you should be able to make your way through it comfortably, without hesitating, and cover all the important parts. When you can do this smoothly and confidently, you're ready for any interview.

Three: Know Your Target

The absolute best thing you can do to prepare for an interview is to know the company.

With the massive amount of data that is now available on the Internet, there is simply no excuse for not researching the company when you get an interview. This shows you are serious about the job and are professional enough to educate yourself about the company.

This will also enable you to frame some of your answers in terms of facts specific to that company. For example, let's look at the sales position used in example above. If you've done your homework and found out that sales are down in the territory covered by the position you are interviewing for, you can talk about how you know that's been a problem for them in that territory and explain how you increased sales in your last job. This is an extremely powerful way to answer an interview question, yet I almost never hear it in interviews. I would send taxis for applicants like this.

Also, knowing the company will enable you to ask some specific questions about it, when you get to the part of the interview where you are asked if you have any questions. This is a golden opportunity that most applicants miss. Usually, when I ask if the applicant has any questions, I get one or two general questions about the job, or no questions at all. On the other hand, when I get an intelligent question or two about some specific aspect of my company and it's challenges, this is an applicant I remember.

You're going to be working (hopefully) for a long time for that company if you get the job, so doesn't it make sense to get to know it in advance?

If you make an honest effort to master the above three areas before every interview, you will not only be much less nervous, but you will greatly increase your chances of getting the job.

Good luck in all your job search efforts.

Does Your Web Design Contract Include These 5 Crucial Items?

Sponsore Link
Working with a qualified web designer can either be a fun and rewarding process - or a frustrating headache. All too often, I talk with business owners whose websites are left only "partially completed" (if they're even finished at all) - or are full of errors.

Their web designer insists they finished the job, and the client is to blame. The client is upset because the web designer didn't include or detail certain things - and they now feel like they've been ripped off. What do you do in a case like this? A lot of these problems could have been avoided with the right kind of web design contract. This is a document that generally is written up by the web designer themselves which outlines several key items relating to the website development.

Before you sign on the dotted line, be sure your web design contract includes the following five vital areas.

1. The Work to Be Completed - What's involved in the creation of your website? For example, will the designer be furnishing graphics or will you be providing your own photos? This is the "meatiest" part of the contract and outlines, specifically, what work will be done.
2. Timeframe for Completion - How long will it take? It's a good idea to specify (or have your designer do this if you're not sure), "milestones" that will need to be completed before you'll release a portion of the payment to them. For example, many designers request a 1/3 down-payment to gather materials (such as domain registration, hosting, stock photos and so on). Then the second 1/3 is done upon your approval of the web template they will be using throughout the site. Having milestones like this ensures steady progress on the site while giving the designer reasonable payment for their work as they complete it. Timeframes also include a completion date. Not setting one (or asking the designer to set one that you both can agree on) means your project could go on forever!
3. Payment Details - How, When and How Much are the questions to be asked here. How will the designer be paid? (check, money order, Paypal…), when will they be paid and how much is due? Not specifying these terms could leave you with a hefty bill at the end of the job - for things that you were unaware of at the start!
4. Confidentiality and Copyright - Who owns the design once it's finished? Designers often relinquish the copyright of the design to the client - but like to reference it in their portfolio as an example of the work they can do. Oftentimes, working with a designer means you'll be giving them private or confidential company information. If necessary, ask the designer to sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) that states that they will not share the information you give to them as part of the project.
5. All The "Little" Extras - It's a good idea to cover all the "little" extras that can add up to a big design bill. Specifically, ask about things like ongoing support, software updates, and content management. Will the designer train you (or your staff) to make changes to the site yourselves, or will you be paying them a monthly (or hourly) fee to do it for you? There are pros and cons to both, so be sure you know the costs and benefits associated with each one. Discuss this with your designer if you're uncertain.

All in all, most web design contracts are simple and straightforward. And more often than not, you'll have nothing to worry about. Still, if conflicts should arise, you'll have a written document to go back to in case there are issues that can't be solved easily. Good luck!

Human Resources Issues

Sponsore Link
Human resources has become an increasingly challenging and complex area today. There is cutthroat competition among various organizations and the process is becoming affected by technology and ever changing policies/regulations. Read on to know some of the pressing human resources issues of today.

The human resource department is a vital and integral part of each and every organization. Lets have a look at some important human resources issues.

Hiring
You need the best people for delivering the better results. You can plan the recruitment process with the inputs from recruitment staff of the organization. The recruiter should ask himself the question whether new people are really required. Can the need be met by streamlining the process or restructuring the organization? The attitude of a person is a critical matter while hiring. This is measured by using psychometric tests. You should have a competitive salary range for the position. List out the attributes you are looking for a potential employee. Educational qualifications, relevant experience, certifications, ability to work in a team, leadership qualities are some of the possible attributes. Your mode of advertisement for a position should be such that it attracts the best and brightest. Recruiting through the internet is the latest technological trend. We now have an international pool of possible candidates. You have to schedule and hold interviews. There could be telephonic screening. There should be background checks to verify employment history and determining whether the candidate has a criminal history.

Promotion
Promotion within an organization could be a tricky issue. Different employees have usually different perspectives on their performance and expectations. It is important for the promotion process should be fair, transparent and systematic. One should go out of the way to reassure the overlooked employees.

Employee Relations
A safe, supportive, and productive work environment should be created and maintained. Establishing policies and procedures in itself is not enough. One should implement them consistently, fairly, and promptly. There should exist employee handbooks and policy manuals. Policies workplace issues such as sexual harassment, drug and alcohol abuse, and violence should be clearly spelled out. The organization should be compliant with existing legislative and regulatory requirements.

Compensation
The compensation should be competitive in the market and commensurate with the job profile and the efforts the employee puts in. Compensation determination should be a systematic and transparent process. The right compensation will attract and retain the required employees. There should be contingency measures to protect the employees and their families from injury, illness or death.

Training and Retraining
The newly hired employees may not have the required job skills or knowledge about the organization culture. The objective should be to impart domain knowledge and necessary issues, which would come into play. Sometimes retraining is required to restore forgotten skills or for enhancing existing skills and acquiring new ones.

Employee Retention
This is a very important issue for organization. Attrition usually adversely affects the company. The job should ideally be challenging and interesting with adequate monetary benefits. Comprehensive and systematic exit interviews could determine the cause of attrition. There could be special incentives for employer loyalty. Reasons for leaving could be lack of career growth opportunities, lack of appreciation, a more attractive job offer or stress from overwork.

Firing Employees
Incompetent or non-performing individuals have to be dismissed. One should not retain employees who engage in anti-social, criminal or any activities, which is detrimental to the organization's reputation. For maintaining the reputation of the organization they should communicate clearly the grounds of dismissal and adequate notice period.

Managing Mergers
This can be a pretty complicated matter. There exist many barriers to smooth mergers of organizations. There could be a difference in technologies among the respective organizations. If the company acquired is a foreign one there could be language and cultural barriers. The interests of the stakeholders must be taken into consideration. Retention of key employees and cultural integration are the among the critical Human Resources issues. The transition process should be smooth and efficient. The human resources department should be included in all decision making right from the start to the end.

Ethical Issues of Internet Privacy

Sponsore Link

Internet privacy is a major concern of today. Privacy over the Internet has raised certain ethical issues, which need to be dealt with. While catering to the privacy needs of the Internet users, we need to implement certain ethics. For more on the ethical issues of Internet privacy, read on…

Privacy is a status wherein an individual can work on his/her information in seclusion, resulting in a selective revelation of one's identity and information. Privacy can mean anonymity in case a person wants to remain unidentified. Privacy can also be related to the security aspect of an individual or information. The definitions of privacy can differ across individuals and cultures. The invasion of privacy can be avoided by the issue of privacy laws.

Internet, which hosts an enormous information base, has given rise to the concept of information privacy. The vast information on the Internet faces security needs. Unauthorized access to the information is undesirable. Data privacy refers to the association between the technology and the legal rights related to it. Whenever any information about a person or a person's data is stored, privacy needs arise. Internet privacy is the control one has over what information about oneself, the person wishes to disclose. Internet privacy deals with controlling the access to information over the Internet.

Ethical Issues of Internet Privacy
Using the Internet often comprises of the use of social networking sites, email facilities and the browse of various other websites. Internet privacy comes on the scene when it comes to website users giving out their personal details on the Internet. For certain websites, which facilitate online shopping, the users are made to input their credit card numbers. In case of emailing sites, there are issues about whether third parties should be allowed to store or read emails without informed consent. Whether or not, the third parties should be permitted to track the visitors on a website, is another major privacy concern. The other important Internet privacy issue is whether the sites that gather personally identifiable information from the users should store or share it.

Internet privacy can be considered as a subset of computer privacy. Computer privacy consists of the data privacy relating to the avoidance of the improper disclosure of the personally identifiable information collected and stored by websites. The effective sharing of data while protecting the private information is the real challenge.

One school of thought denies the existence of Internet privacy while the other advocates the necessity of the Internet privacy. Complete anonymity is not the intent of Internet privacy. It rather intends to achieve a controlled disclosure of one’s personal information. Internet is a network of networks and when a person uses the Internet, he/she connects to it and is identified by an address. In technical terms this address is known as an IP address. For security reasons, a website may wish to track these addresses of its users. Websites may collect the non-personally identifiable information of their users. Such information is the one, which in no way can be used to uniquely identify a person. The disclosure of these forms of information is acceptable. It is actually the means by which websites track the users' Internet activities.

Some users prefer stricter forms of privacy such as anonymity to the Internet. Is it ethically right to allow users to use the Internet with a fake or an anonymous identity? While it caters to the privacy needs of some users, it may endanger the Internet usage for the others. Many users complain of being stalked by the anonymous users.

The freedom of expression endowed by social networking, has resulted in some Internet users publicizing wrong or undesired information under false names. They are free to discuss and opine about any and all topics in forums, chat rooms, communities and blogs. Moreover, such expressions do not require the users to disclose their identities. This raises issues in research ethics pertaining to the privacy of research subjects and informed consent. This is an undue advantage of the Internet privacy whereby the border between the private and the public spaces is made blurred. While providing open platforms for discussions, the Internet is ironically becoming a stage where fake people can voice false opinions and foster fallacies.

Does Internet privacy imply that all the information posted on to the Internet remains private and confidential? Does Internet privacy ascertain the privacy of every Internet user? There are people who dread using online banking and shopping websites because they doubt the unauthorized disclosure of their personal information. Some disguise themselves while using the Internet. Mailing lists and forum posts are a part of the search results on the topics discussed in them. Is it ethically correct to expose people's views in these ways? Some people fear the fact that they have a visibility over the Internet for such reasons.

The trade-off would be to define the demarcating line between what's public and what's private. Internet privacy is indeed important in case of the revelation of personally identifiable information but it requires to be delimited in cases where privacy puts the Internet ethics on stake.

Four Most Important Leadership Qualities of Good Leader

Sponsore Link
There is a plethora of attributes that a good leader should possess. Good leadership is an universal and timeless need. We take a look at the four most important leadership qualities.
Good leaders are required in all fields. They lead, motivate and inspire others. Superior leadership is essential in today’s high-pressure competitive world. The four most important qualities of leadership are given below.

Risk taking
A leader needs to be ready to take risks. It is claimed that higher, the risk higher is the gain. A leader should not be living in a comfortable zone and being happy with whatever he has achieved. He does not rest on past laurels. Such leaders soon lose their position and the time wave removes them from the peoples' mind. The constant urge for innovation is one of the most important leadership qualities. It helps the leader to be in tune with the modern times and help them to face new challenges much more effectively. A leader doesn’t accept society's definition of what is possible, they make their own outlines. Good leaders refuse to allow the norms and limits defined by society to guide their actions or plans. They are characterized by lack of acceptance for what you see as reality. They just don't see the world the same way as others. Everything is possible for them despite the arduous and bumpy road to getting there.

Mental toughness
A leader needs to be mentally tough. No one can lead without being criticized or without facing tough situations. A tough-minded leader sees things as they are and will pay the price for it. Leadership creates a certain separation from one's peers which comes from carrying responsibility that only the leader is able to carry. The leader must be able to keep his or her own counsel until the proper time. A leader possesses the ability to live with criticism and not be affected by it. It is not possible for a leader to please everyone. Leaders are able to limit the impact of stress on their lives. A good leader thrives on the energy of stressful situations not the negativity. They assume control even when they don't have it thus eliminating the stress of not having control. Good leaders have a self-esteem and self-confidence to ride out of any tough situation.

Superior Communication Skills
Effective leadership necessitates good listening skills. They need to create a system of communication for the organization. Interaction should take in account the cultural differences too. They possess the ability to ask the right questions. A good leader possess superior interviewing skills in order to choose the right candidate. He is able to communicate clearly the objectives and procedures required for a task. He needs to be excellent in public speaking and reading body language. A leader has to be open to constructive feedback. They have the ability to convince others and also communicate their vision to their team. They are endowed with the ability to inspire others to work more productively by their speech or words.

Going the extra mile
Good leaders always put more effort than the organization expects from them. They do activities that the majority of people won't do. Where most people quit they persevere. This serves as an excellent example to their team which then strives to achieve much more. A good leader doesn’t just order things; he does it so that others can do it. They not only motivate themselves in personal development but also motivate those around them. Good leaders do what is necessary to upgrade their knowledge and skills and be on the cutting edge in their field.

Bill Gates Says Goodbye to Microsoft

Sponsore Link
Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has stepped down as CEO of Microsoft, the world’s biggest software and technology company.

By Pamela Mortimer
Bill Gates appeared before his staff at Microsoft Corporation headquarters in Redmond, Washington on Friday to give a farewell speech. Gates has decided to step down from his position as the full time CEO of the company he built with childhood friend Paul Allen. Gates will work part-time as a non-executive chairman, giving himself time to focus on the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the world's largest philanthropic organization. Gates plans leave the company he has lived for since 1975 so that he may devote his time to microfinance projects and to discover new vaccines for the developing world.

During the event at Microsoft headquarters, Gates joined former Harvard University classmate Steve Ballmer on stage to deliver a short speech and answer questions from staff members. Ballmer, who joined Microsoft at the urging of Gates, has taken over the position of Chief Executive.

"There won't be a day in my life that I'm not thinking about Microsoft and the great things that it's doing and wanting to help," said Gates, who wiped away tears as he received a well deserved standing ovation from 830 employees.

Gates also reiterated his retreat from the company's day-to-day business.

"I do think with my not being here full time there is some opportunity that people will really step up. There's somewhat of a vacuum created there," he said. "I have got to get out of the way, and let that new thing step in there."

Ballmer got choked up when it came time for his public farewell to Gates. Ballmer joked about the "inevitable inadequacy of a thank you gift" before presenting his friend and employer with a large scrapbook embossed with Gates' signature.

"There's no way to say thanks to Bill. Bill's the founder. Bill's the leader," said Ballmer. "We've been given an enormous, enormous opportunity and it was Bill that gave us this opportunity."

Ballmer and Gates took a few minutes to walk down Microsoft’s memory lane. Along the way they took the opportunity to get in "a few good digs" at IBM Corp., whose first personal computers were equipped with Microsoft's DOS operating system. Eventually, IBM adopted its own operating software and the relationship between the two companies faltered.

"They went off with OS 2, we were left with good old Windows, and sure enough the David versus Goliath story came out with the right ending," said Gates, drawing laughter from the crowd.

Gates admitted that Microsoft Corp. has made mistakes along the way and certainly cannot call itself perfect today.

"When we miss a big change, when we don't get great people on it, that is the most dangerous thing for us," Gates said. "It has happened many times. It's OK, but the less the better."

Some of the best moments happened when Gates slipped out of "technology prognostication mode" and shared some candid and self-effacing antics about his early days with Ballmer.

Gates and Ballmer were introduced by a mutual friend during their freshman year at Harvard. On their "first date", the future entrepreneurs went to see a rare back-to-back showing of two classic movies, Singing in the Rain and A Clockwork Orange.

Ballmer, who is known for dancing around the stage at conferences, described the evening he’d spent with his new silly and uninhibited friend.

"So we come back from the movie, we're kind of dancing, we're both kind of playing Gene Kelly, and some guy wrestles me to the ground in our dorm," Ballmer said. It was up to Gates, who could hardly be called burly, to remove the fellow student.

Ballmer also ribbed Gates about leaving for vacation in the middle of his job interview, and forgetting to pack a tie for their first big meeting with executives at IBM.

Running a Car on an Unusual Alternative Fuel

Sponsore Link
By Anastacia Mott Austin
New technologies on renewable fuel sources are springing up all the time, including one that claims it can run a car on water…any type of water.

First there was the hybrid car. Part fuel combustion engine, part electric battery. It improves gas mileage and is better for the environment.

Sales of hybrid cars are through the roof, spurred by rising gas prices and an increase in the public’s need to leave a smaller carbon footprint. Many major auto manufacturers offer a hybrid variety or are in the process of developing one.

But that wasn’t enough for some. Anyone who has seen the documentary "Who Killed the Electric Car?" has been wondering what the hold up is on the all-electric car.

Though GM "killed" the EV1 electric car shown in the movie, the company is hard at work developing the Chevy Volt, an all-electric car (with gas hybrid option) that will supposedly be available to the public around 2010. In addition, several well-known auto companies have electric prototypes in the works, and numerous smaller start-up companies are developing electric cars that are on the market already or will be soon.

Some savvy hackers have already converted their Toyota Prius hybrids into plug-in versions, meaning they run almost entirely on electric power.

So why stop there? With fuel prices and pollution at dangerous levels, necessity has indeed spawned some strange inventions. Creative thinkers have pondered what seems to be in abundance – at least for now – and come up with fuel solutions that use little to no fossil fuels and produce no emissions.

Zero Pollution Motors (ZPM) has contracted to manufacture the first air-powered car for distribution in the United States by late 2009 or early 2010. Yep, air.

Similar in concept to the two-seater model that will soon be marketed in India, ZPM has a larger, six-seat version of the air-powered car in mind for the United States.

The air car employs compressed air as its fuel source, similar to Airbus airplanes, along with a heating process which increases the volume of the air, and thus the speed of the car.

Company representatives say that the car could go as far as 1,000 miles and up to 96 mph on each fill-up of air, and produces zero emissions. Plus, their estimate on the cost is about $17,800. Sweet.

It still needs to undergo further development and testing, but ZPM says we can count on the air car as another alternative to the gas-guzzling polluters we’re tooling around in now.

If we can make a car that runs on air, what about water?

Japan’s Genepax company announced last month that it had developed technology to enable a car to run on water…any kind of water.

Its Water Energy System uses a secret "membrane electrode assembly" method that apparently breaks water down into hydrogen and oxygen through a chemical process.

Another entrepreneur claims he can make a car run on salt water, and has the Youtube video to prove it.

A little searching on the Net will locate several websites willing to sell you an instruction manual explaining how to convert your own car into a water-sipping wonder car. I don’t know if it works, I didn’t buy the kit.

To answer the concerns of folks who say that water is the new oil, and soon we will be more worried about water availability and cost than gas, Genepax says that their water car can run on any kind of water: spring water, sea water, rain water, wastewater, recycled water.

Wastewater? "Recycled" water? Does that mean what I think it does? That would truly be a resourceful use of ah, recycled water…something along the lines of "Waterworld," where Kevin Costner uses a handy little device that converts his own urine back into drinkable water.

I don’t know about drinking it, but think of the environmental savings in being able to use your "wastewater" to fuel your car. Save on gas and plumbing at the same time!

The only remaining dilemma would be what to call such a wondrous vehicle.

The Transcendental Perfection: Beauty

Sponsore Link
by Nor Nan
Beauty is also known as pulcrum. It is a transcendental perfection, which results from esse or the act of being. There are different degrees of being, the vegetative life (plants), the sentient life (animals) and the rational life (human persons); beauty's variety and richness depends on the different degrees of being.

Beauty has different levels depending on the subject from which it transcends; intelligible beauty directly is attached to the spiritual life and the sense perceptible beauty is applied to things, which attracts our sense, especially our hearing and seeing.

There are different types too, natural beauty which comes from the nature of beings, therefore we can say a woman is beautiful naturally in her femininity and rationality; and artificially when she starts further enhancing her beauty through make-up, dressing and exercise, and a painting is artificially beautiful in so far as it is painted artificially by human hands.

The Unity Of Beauty And Goodness

A special type of goodness is beauty because it gives rise to a special delight by simply being known. The sensible appetite comes into play when it feels the aesthetic appreciation and delight. It is the contemplation of the beauty of the object not on its possession. Beauty is pleasing to the will or sense appetites simply by being known by the senses or the intellect.

The Foundation Of Beauty Lies In Perfection

The foundation of beauty lies in the perfection of the desired object; things are pleasing because they are beautiful. Therefore whether or not there are men or women who are capable of appreciating a beauty, the perfection still resides in the object and thus beautiful. This perfection is from the act of being, the fullness, and absolute Beauty.

Perfecting Beauty In Its Fullest Sense

The foundation of beauty is the absolute. Beauty, the act of being, and we can say things are beautiful in so far as they already possess perfection. However this is not the only aspect of beauty. A created being can only reach the fullness of the beauty if it possesses the perfection of its very nature. An example of this is a woman can only be truly beautiful in her being a woman, in her finest feminine nature.

There are three basic features of beauty:

There should be harmony and proportion in the object and subject itself and to its surroundings. The combination of clothes must be in accordance with the occasion and personality type. To further enhance one's perfection, she is properly made up not excessively but appropriately, she is pleasing to the sight and thus we can say the person is attractive. Integrity and completeness of the object is another element to consider in its substantial and accidental form. A beautiful thing is considered when it is complete up to the last detail. The beauty of the Mozart Cantata is an example of a work of beauty of integrity and completeness.

Another element is clarity, both in the material and the spiritual. In case of systematic knowledge, clarity is seen in its intelligibility, truth and being. In case of the sense of hearing, the arrangement of the melody that makes the music pleasant. In the case of sight, light, limpidity and brightness are taken into consideration; a painting is characterized by clarity if there is light, limpidity, and brightness.

Business Thank You Notes

Sponsore Link
Business thank you notes are a way of expressing your gratitude towards those in your business relations. Here are some tips on how to write business thank you notes.
It does not take much to say thank you. But a thank you goes a long way. It reaches a person's heart and makes him/her feel better. A thank you is your expression of gratitude for some favor or some much-needed help. Thank you notes, if well worded, can convey your gratitude in an appropriate way to the recipient of your thanks.

Thanking the people in your business circle also becomes important when your work relations are concerned. Thank you notes are a part of the business ethics because they are about building and maintaining the business relations.

Tips to write business thank you notes
Business thank you notes need to be formal and consistent with the corporate culture. The address made in the note depends on your relationship with that person. If you have been associated with him/her for quite some time, you can give the thank you note a personal touch. But otherwise, its better to be strictly formal in addressing the recipient of your business thank you note.

Try to use your letterhead to type in the note. However, handwritten notes look original and the words appear heartfelt. So you could make handwritten thank you notes. In case the recipient of your business thank you note does not know you much, you can attach your business card to it. Make sure you address the letter to the recipient with his name and designation.

Describe the intent of writing in the first few lines of the business thank you note. Explain what the note is about. Make a reference to the work completed or the favor the recipient has done for you. The main content of the thank you note should describe the favor done to you. Say that you are grateful for his/her help. Express how his/her contribution to the work helped you achieve your target. Write about how useful his/her share in the work was. Make the thank you note appear a true expression of your sincere feelings. Make it your expression of gratitude, something expressed from the bottom of your heart.

To Pay or Not to Pay for Smileys

Sponsore Link
Smiley emoticons are helpful email accessories that present types of informal communication cannot do without. For maximum effect, subscription can be a good option. Here are four reasons why.
Why pay when you can get them free? As there are close to six dozen websites offering smileys or animated emoticons that you can send in your emails, and mostly downloadable free of charge, it sounds exorbitant for some people to opt for subscription, isn’t it?

Regardless of how you use them – in your emails or on the pages of your favorite social networking sites – smileys or animated emoticons have come a long way from just having a few strokes (and with your "head tilted to the left" to decipher their meaning) to a plethora of smiley emoticons nowadays that expresses every conceivable human emotion.

Why pay when you can get them free? Again, that question. Yes, indeed why opt for subscription service when smileys are available sans the price tag?

The truth is smiley emoticons that you download on your desktop can be so limited when you have fully appreciated the importance of smileys in your mails, or networking activities. Smileys provide the human touch on emails; they come handy when you run out of words to say and they, with higher success rate than colored fonts and highlights, catch more attention.

Would you not pay for:

More design options: Animated emoticons that are available on low-cost subscription fees usually come in wider range of options; each emotion is expressed in many ways, which provide variation, and eliminates boredom;

More vibrant, a whole lot cuter designs: Smiley providers hire illustrators to create lovable smiley-designs for both freebies and those on subscription. It can be assumed that the best designs are reserved for the use of subscribers, for the simple reason that he, who invests, deserves the best treatment.

Wider categories: Available smileys and animated emoticon designs come in different categories; those on subscription are assured of additional categories that include more trendy designs as most illustrators stay attuned to current events that help shape their clients’ choice of which smiley emoticons to use.

Technical Support: As a way of showing gratitude to their clients’ growing patronage, most companies provide technical support to paid subscribers for a glitch-free experience while using smileys.

Investing a few dollars on subscription fees add more value in the long run because as you send smileys in your email, you improve its appearance and give it more impact. As it attracts attention, you get your message across, successfully.

Would you rather have the limiting standard of free smileys? Sure, you would not want to scrimp on a few dollars and risk the chance of getting the attention you need, and of getting the results you want with your emails, right?

Smiley-providers abound on the internet however there are only a few providing subscription –privileges. Here are some tips for you to consider before you sign-up for subscription:

Sizes: Do smileys come in different sizes, like small, medium or large? Different sizes of smiley emoticons add more impact on the message you want to convey in your emails, as they connote the degree of your emotion as well;

Spyware and adware: Make sure that your animated emoticons are spyware and adware free, as most people detest the experience, in fact these are some of the reasons why smiley emoticons –paid or freebie – do not appeal to some people.

The use of smileys has indeed set an influence on how most of us communicate, and so far the result is obviously on a positive note, otherwise companies who are in business for animated emoticons or smileys would not have proliferated like mushrooms on the internet. As trends shift from simple to more vibrant designs, available among those on subscription, the use of smileys would certainly add more impact and generate more desirable results.

Would you rather wait on a freebie? Then you could be missing out on a lot of fun!

C-Level Relationship Selling - 10 Tips for Developing C-Level Relationships

Sponsore Link
How would you like to be in a selling position where there is no competition; price is not an issue; business you never thought existed keeps rolling in; and budgets are created to buy your offerings. Well this could be you and this article tells how to get there.

Develop professional relationships with senior managers responsible for P/L and competition will not exist, price will be a benchmark only, business you never thought existed will surface, budgets will be created, and you will increase your sales and market share tremendously.

1. Use your Golden Network to Get to the Top. You have contacts that have benefitted from you, your services, and/or your company I call these contacts your Golden Network of relationships. Now if you ask these contacts to introduce you to higher-level people, and give them a creditable reason why, they will do it. You want these people to transfer their credibility with their bosses to you. This is the easiest way for you to gain access to a top level exec.

However, many sales people have gotten to the leaders and blown the opportunity by being product/service focused. That is; they try to convince or present why this upper level person should be interested in what they have to sell. So here are some tips.

2. Meetings with leaders are not about you or your company. They are always about the senior exec where s/he is giving you an opportunity to listen and learn about her or him.

3. Your initial meeting is your best and only opportunity for the senior exec to open-up and explain his situation to you. You may be thinking just the opposite, but he knows you don’t know him and he’s willing to offer you some insights. But he’ll have to be prompted.

4. Therefore you have to ask focused questions to get this rightfully self absorbed leader talking about his issues, her environment, his threats, and her opportunities as they relate to your world.

5. If you try to make it about you initially - talking about what you’re selling, giving reasons why s/he should listen to you, and/or what others are doing with you, you’ll be perceived as self serving and a typical vendor that no high level executive wants to spend time with.

6. First meetings are not forums to present, consult or pontificate. Don’t be concerned that if you don’t tell about what you offer, you may never get another chance because if you do, it’s a guarantee that you’ll never get back.

7. So you have to set the stage for this busy exec to want to see you again and here is how it’s done. Give him assurance that you understand what he explained to you. Tell him you need time and other resources to prepare a response targeted at correcting, solving and/or improving what he told you about. And then ask him if he would be interested in meeting you again to hear your ideas.

8. Even when senior managers ask you to tell them about what you have, you have to push back and ask them what exactly they want to hear about and how come. You’ve got to learn where this individual is coming from or else your presentation will be weak and uneventful. Don’t be anxious to let-out all you know and don’t get intimidated into revealing your information before you get his.

9. The higher the level of the executive, the more the issues are personal. You can’t think what you have is good for his or her company. That’s what they get paid to do. You have to find out what is good for him or her. So let them tell you what they want and why.

10. When you do come back, it will again be personal and about what you can do for him - not his company or her subordinates. These meetings have to be one-on-one and carefully rehearsed.

As simple as these steps seem, they are really very difficult. Developing the confidence and poise to network, ask and listen - without presenting, letting the exec say whatever without getting defensive, are all very difficult and seldom practiced skills. However, once mastered, the sales person’s closing ratio and selling performance will skyrocket.

Water Is The Fuel of Future!

It was proved from ancient times that water is competent of producing energy and this already known fact attracted attentions of all scientists who were busy in trying to unearth an alternative option for fuels from many years. So scientists begin the plan of using water as an alternative of fuel as that would be the best use of the water power and thought that if this bounded power of water could be used as fuel then it would be useful for the absolute human world, these all thoughts resulted into the technique of running car by water as fuel. This fuel is affable for the environment and prevents the atmosphere.

Now, Water takes the place of the fuel of future and can successfully be used as a good alternative of the fuel but for using this latest fuel one should know about its application prior to use. Water is stored in car in small container .In this technique electrolysis converts water into fuel. The battery of the car supplies the required electricity to separate hydrogen from oxygen producing brown’s gas which is inflammable and provides the needed energy for running car.

Many people are still incredulous about this idea, but this is indeed achievable today. All People across the world are applying this technique to run cars with the water hybrid technology. It’s a fabulous idea to run car on water and certainly this leads to loads of benefits. Certainly, it helps to save money against the rising prices of gas. But that's not all - there are many added advantages that most people don't ever even bother about. These all advantages formulate it as a good idea.

This idea makes the car driving more affordable as now; by using water as fuel one can save up to 20-50% money which is a pretty good deal. This should be commemorated that water alone can’t run the car but it reduces the amount of gas to be used normally; this only tempts drivers to implement this technique also Lower usage of gas causes an increase in Miles per Gallon (MPG). Water confirmed to be more proficient than regular gasoline. As almost 80% of the energy is wasted in the form of heat, vibration and pollution leaving behind mere 20% of the fuel energy for running car while water does not experiences these problems. As a result making the car engine resulting into smooth drive.

Another mammoth advantage of hybrid cars is that these are proving to be boon for the environment. This is the main reason behind their invention .As cars with this peculiar technique dramatically reduce CO2 and carbon emissions, which an important feature against the Global is warming. The growing rate of pollution is creating global warming making it the severe problem each and every day, and it's really high time to search for solution about it!

How to Make Full Time Money as a Part Time Blogger

Sponsore Link
by: Boogonie

One year ago I did not know the next thing about blogging or how to make money with a blog. Like everybody reading this article, I surfed the net and used email, but I literally knew nothing about the online world of blogging and affiliate marketing. Over the past year that has all changed. As a part-time blogger, I've started to make thousands of dollars a month online.

How to Make Full Time Money as a Part Time Blogger

Like you, my time is limited. I have a wife, two teenagers, and a full-time job. So I have very little time each day to devote to blogging. But it can be done. And the first step in the process is learning how to pick a domain name, sign up for web hosting, and set up your blog. All of this can be done in under 20 minutes once you get the hang of it. In this article I'll walk you through the basics of how to set up a site. If this is new to you, trust me, it's much easier than it may seem. So let's get started.

Picking a domain name

The name of your site is one of the most important decisions you'll make when setting up a blog or website. And generally, you want to consider two important factors. The first factor is branding. You want the name to be memorable. If you are promoting an off line business, for example, a domain name that matches the name of your company is obviously critical. But even if your business is entirely online, a memorable domain name can help you build reader loyalty and trust. This is the approach I took with my site, The Dough Roller. Exactly how well I accomplished that goal I'll leave to you, but the people I talk to say its catchy and memorable. That's the goal if your focus is branding.

The second factor to consider are keywords. Keywords are the word phrases we all type into Google, Yahoo! or other search engines to find information on the Internet. When selecting a domain name, consider what keywords are relevant to your site and include theme in the domain name. There are at least two separate SEO benefits for having a keyword rich domain name.

First, the URL of a page is one factor Google's search engine algorithm considers when ranking pages. If your site is about mortgage loans, having those keywords in your domain name will help your site rank well for those and related keywords. Second, you will find that most sites that link to your homepage will use your site's name as the anchor text of the link. Having links to your site that use keyword rich anchor text can mean a huge boost in the search engine rankings for your site.

Web Hosting

Having selected your domain name, you now need to get your new site hosted. There are many, many web hosting services available. And if you ask two bloggers which one is the best, you are likely to get at least three different answers. No matter what web hosting service you consider, there will be those who absolutely hate the web host, and those that love it. I've used three different web hosting services over the past year, and for me, Bluehost is hands down the best.

The reason I like Bluehost is because I can get technical support on the phone usually in under 60 seconds. Is Bluehost ever down? Of course it is. But so far it has been very reliable for me. Regardless of which web hosting service you choose, getting your new domain hosted is the second step. Most services can easily walk you through the process, and you can always phone technical support. I've put a separate article together that visually walks through setting up hosting and installing WordPress with Bluehost.

Setting Up WordPress

I use WordPress for all of my sites for several reasons. First, it's free. Second, it is widely used and many developers have made free themes and plugins to use with WordPress. Three, search engines, particularly Google, seem to rank WordPress blogs well in the search enging rankings. And fourth, it's easy to use.

With Bluehost and most web hosting services, you can install WordPress with just a couple of clicks. Once installed, there are some critical WordPress plugins that need to be installed. The first plugin is called Google XML Sitemaps. Sitemaps tell search engines like Google and Yahoo! what pages are available on your site for crawling. They give search engines a road map to your most important content. With the Google XML Sitemap plugin, generating a XML-compliant sitemap is a snap.

The second critical plugin is called HeadSpace2. The functionality of HeadSpace2 could fill 10 articles. For example, you can set a single page or post to use a WordPress theme other than the one you've selected for your site. You can set global meta keywords that get inserted into all of your site's pages. You can insert your Google Analytics (more on this next week) id into HeadSpace2 to track your site's traffic. I highly recommend this plugin if you have the time to understand how to use it. If you do, you should read the HeadSpace2 plugin page.

Related Posts is the third plugin, which automatically inserts related posts at the end of each post. This gives your readers some additional articles related to the topic if they want to keep reading. But the plugin also has a big SEO benefit. Internal links, that is links from one part of your site to another, are absolutely critical for SEO purposes. I'll even go so far as to say that they are more important than back links. And the related posts plugin ads relevant internal links to all of your posts.

And that's it. As I said at the start, you can get to a point where you can have a new site up and running in under twenty minutes. I've written a more detailed tutorial on how to start a money making blog using WordPress that you can check out if you want a more detailed set of instructions. The tutorial covers other steps such as picking and installing an optimized WordPress theme and configuring WordPress.

Best of luck, and don't hesitate to email me if you have any questions or comments.

How to Turn Your iPhone into a Desktop PC

Sponsore Link
Japanese designer Mac Funamizu has developed an ultra new and creative way to use your iPhone.
Even the Jetsons didn’t have this. Coveted Japanese designer Mac Funamizu has developed a way to turn your iPhone into a desktop PC and so much more. Inspired by Microsoft’s Play Anywhere system, Funamizu’s yet unnamed creation allows a user to connect an iPhone to a desktop stand and experience untold capabilities without all the hassle of a complete desktop system.

iPhone into a Desktop PC
Basically, the system works like this: An iPhone is mounted onto a stand that features a built-in projector and an array of delicate and very smart sensors. A full keyboard and mouse are projected onto the desk’s surface and the user’s hand movements are used to calculate the input of date into the system, including clicks and keystrokes. If so desired, the keyboard and mouse can be expanded or contracted by the wave of a hand. There are also other non-traditional and multi-touch gestures which will allow the input of data into the iPhone.

Because the ultra thin gadget is transparent, many are referring to it as "magical glass".

Also included in the system are the touch screen panel, scanner, and a built-in camera. It is assumed that the glass will also function as a viewfinder for the camera. There will also be Wi-Fi connectivity for accessing the Internet.

If the name Mac Funamizu sounds familiar, it may be because he’s the guy behind the "magical Future of Internet Search concept":

"I instantly fell in love with this concept. Imagine having a magical glass with you that you can use to obtain information about anything you see," said Funamizu.

If that wasn’t enough to make you reach for your credit card, consider this: With Funamizu’s creation, it is possible to look through the glass, pinpoint an object, and be able to access tons of information on it. How cool is that?

Just imagine that you’re out and about and you spot a car that you just have to have or your friend has been bitten by a rare breed of tarantula. Never fear! Just use the magical glass to focus on the item and find out any and all info on the target almost immediately. It would make vacations a real trip if you could simply focus on a landmark and know its history or use Mapquest to find an Italian restaurant that serves homemade gelato. It’s also useful for looking up the meaning of a word in the dictionary, allowing one to tap into Wikipedia, or thumb through a thesaurus. The specs on the Wi-Fi connectivity haven’t been released as of yet but if the hype is true, the possibilities are virtually limitless.

The only concern that seems to be surfacing is that of privacy. Some fear that people will use their magical glass to tap into their identities and gain personal information that should not be so easily obtained. I’m not really sure how that could work but Funamizu seems to have all the answers and would presumably build in some security features. We’ll just have to wait and see.

The Truth about Treatments : Colored Gemstones

Sponsore Link
Gem treatments that consumers need to look out for when buying colored gemstone jewelry.
Just as wool is dyed, leather is tanned, and wood furniture is stained and sealed, many of the colored gemstones on the market today have been treated to enhance their natural beauty and durability, and to make a wider variety of jewelry-quality gemstones available and affordable.

A treated gemstone is still a real gemstone created by the force of nature. Some of the most common treatments used today, such as heating stones to improve their color, have been used for centuries to finish what nature started. Without heat-treating, there would be no bright blue topaz, the intense blue-violet of tanzanite would be a dull brown, and most rubies and sapphires would have a less-than-vivid hue. Your great-grandmother’s sapphire brooch may well have been heat-treated way back in the 1800s!

Most jewelers do sell treated goods. The practice is ethical as long as treatments are disclosed and their degree of permanence taken into account when pricing the gem. Listed below are the ten treatments that require disclosure by the Federal Trade Commission:

Bleaching: Chemicals such as hydrogen peroxide, diluted acid, or chlorine bleach are used to lighten or remove color or stains. Lotion and skin oils can sometimes stain bleached gems.

Cavity Filling: Fillers such as glass or plastic are used to seal cavities or pits on the surface of a gem. Cavity filling is sometimes used to add weight, too. Heat from a microscope light, a jeweler’s torch, store lighting, or even sunlight can cause fillers to leak.

Colorless Impregnation: Melted wax or plastic is applied to fill the pores of a gem, then allowed to solidify in order to improve the gem’s color and form a protective seal. Heat can destroy the seal.

Dyeing: Chemicals or colored oils are used to add color or to deepen it. Dyes can fade in sunlight.

Fracture Filling: Similar to cavity filling, fracture filling is used to seal narrow breaks in the stone to improve its clarity. Most often colorless glass, plastics, or oils are used as fillers. Heat can cause fillers to leak.

Heat Treatment: Heat is the oldest gem treatment, and the most common. Today, it’s become quite a science: depending on the temperature used and the length and rate of heating and cooling, color can be lightened, darkened, deepened, or changed completely. Heat-treating is very durable, but intense heat from a jeweler’s torch can ruin it.

Irradiation: Scientists began experimenting with gem radiation as early as the 1900s. The process of irradiation rearranges a stone’s atoms and electrons in order to change its color. The new color isn’t always stable, though. Exposure to heat or even daylight is sometimes enough to fade the color.

Lattice Diffusion: By combining extremely high temperatures with chemicals, light-colored gems can be infused with a shallow layer of almost any color. Lattice diffusion can also enhance asterism—the "star" in star ruby or sapphire.

Sugar and Smoke Treatments: These simple surface treatments can darken pale opal and enhance its color display. Whether the stone is soaked in a hot sugar solution or roasted over a fire, the result is the same.

Surface Modifications: Gluing various backings, such as foil, fabrics, or even feathers, onto the undersides of stones can enhance color—or give color where there was none. Coatings such as wax or varnish bring out the luster of porous stones. Painting is also used to improve a gem’s color. A little dab of nail polish on the underside of a gem can give an inexpensive colorless gem the appearance of a ruby.

Here’s a shortlist of the most common treatments for popular gems.
Amethyst: heat treatment
Aquamarine: heat treatment
Chalcedony: dyeing
Citrine: heat treatment
Emerald: fracture filling, dyeing
Jade: impregnation, bleaching and impregnation, dyeing
Lapis Lazuli: dyeing, coating
Opal: impregnation (oil, wax, plastic), sugar treatment, smoke treatment
Pearl: bleaching
Ruby: heat treatment, lattice diffusion, fracture filling, cavity filling
Sapphire: heat treatment, lattice diffusion, fracture filling, cavity filling
Tanzanite: heat treatment
Topaz: heat treatment, irradiation followed by heat treatment
Tourmaline: heat treatment, irradiation
Turquoise: impregnation (wax, plastic, dyes)
Zircon: heat treatment

Some treatments, such as heat and irradiation, are undetectable even by gemologists, so proceed with caution: assume a colored gemstone is treated until proven otherwise.

What you Need to Know about Cheap Payday Loans

Sponsore Link
Emergencies happen every day but we don’t always have the money to deal with them. Cheap payday loans can offer a solid solution. Get the important details you need for securing low cost payday loans.

Cheap payday loans are what many people look for when they encounter an urgent financial situation they don’t have the funds to take care of. When you’re looking for a cheap Payday Loan, there are a few factors to consider. While there are various payday loan providers located across the United States, many lenders have now made their services available online, which makes comparing their benefits and features easier than ever. You’ll immediately notice a common thread – most are offering quick cash while claiming to offer it cheaply. How does one determine which provider has the best offer with the least out of pocket expense? Is there even such a thing as cheap Payday Loans?

The number one way to make sure your Payday Loan experience is the most cost-effective one for you, is to shop around. Don’t settle on the first great sounding deal that comes your way. Instead, research several lenders, determine if their terms are clear, and ask questions about any aspects of the process that you do not understand. There’s no such thing as a stupid question, especially when it pertains to your finances. Don’t assume you should already know the answers when you don’t. As regulated as the payday loan industry is, there are still some unscrupulous lenders out there who prey on the desperate and unwary. Never, ever, pay for the opportunity to apply for a Payday Loan. No reputable lender will charge you a fee simply for applying for a loan that has no guarantee of approval.

Another way to keep payday loan costs under control is to remember to take time to study your disclosure agreement and carefully review terms and conditions. Carefully look for hidden fees, as well as the fees charged in the unfortunate event you cannot pay your loan back on time. If you are unsure of what a certain aspect of your loan agreement means, ask for clarification. Make sure you are dealing with a provider who complies with the Federal Truth in Lending Laws. Do not sign anything until you are absolutely sure what you are signing. Read the fine print and be pro-active. You are taking the reins of your financial situation by applying for this payday loan, so don’t steer yourself down the wrong path by overlooking the important details. An oversight may wind up costing you even more financially!

The term "cheap", as it relates to Payday Loans can be viewed as a relative term. Your primary expenditure should be the interest rate charged, which varies from state to state. Long term loans use the expression "Annual Percentage Rate" for the interest a borrower will pay on their loan. The APR represents the annual percentage of the amount of credit granted. While a loan’s APR is useful when comparing lenders, it is a flawed measure when it comes to payday loans. This is because payday loans are not stretched out for a year, making this annual measure basically irrelevant. Payday loans are intended to be used as short term financial solutions and are to be repaid on your next pay date. Therefore, simply comparing the payday loan rates, which range from 15%-50% of the amount borrowed, is a better way to determine how cheap a payday loan really is. This interest rate, though it may seem high in comparison to long term loans, is often less than the cost of returned checks and late charges, not to mention the damage prevented on your credit rating by being able to pay last minute bills on time.

The key to obtaining cheap payday loans is being an informed consumer. Compare payday loan providers and their interest rates. Carefully review your disclosure agreement so that you understand the total cost of your payday loan and what amount you will be paying back on your next pay date. If you want to save a few more bucks, you can apply online and save yourself the gas money required to drive to a payday loan store location. Many reputable lenders now offer this option. Do your research and apply from the comfort of your home and save yourself on fees, the trip, and the gas!

Computer viruses are a major problem for computer users worldwide. It has individuals and even governments worried. Major efforts are going on to tackle it. Read on to learn about it.

What is a Computer Virus?

A computer virus is a man-made program or code that can cause damage to your data and software on a computer. It is able to replicate usually without knowledge and permission of the computer user.

How does it spread?

They are spread unknowingly from one infected computer to another via emails and instant messaging.

Types of Computer Viruses

Trojan horse-
These are programs that claim to do one thing but actually do something else (usually damaging activity).

Resident virus- These dwell in the RAM memory and work by overcoming and interrupting all of the operations executed by the system including corrupting of the files and programs that are opened and closed.

Direct action virus- This has a main purpose of replicating and taking action when it is executed. The batch file of this virus is always found in the root directory of the hard disk.

Overwrite virus- These are characterized by the fact that they delete the information that is contained in the files that they infect, and this renders the files as being partially or even totally useless once they have been infected.

Boot virus- These affect the boot sector of a floppy or hard disk.

Macro virus- These infect files that are created using certain applications or certain programs that contain macros.

E-mail virus- These can infect your desktop email system. They proliferate through e-mail messages and usually replicate by automatically e-mailing copies to all entries in your e-mail address book.

Worm- These are programs that are able to replicate on their own over computer networks. It scans a network for computers with same security hole that it can exploit to infect that machine, scan other machines for that security loophole, and continue replicating itself independently.

One should use licensed anti-virus software to protect one’s computer from computer viruses.
